The Thalasso & SPA Europe Certificate is awarded in three grades:
Z Additional to the EAWS Basic-Criteria, Thalasso & SPA hotels offer attractive thalasso equipment and activities as well as a differentiated wellness treatment standard.
Additional specified Thalasso & SPA criteria:
- Thalassotherapy is an integrated concept for therapy, prevention, health supporting measures.
- Thalasso therapies have to be applied under medical supervision by qualified specialist and with a clear prevention- and therapy goal, only.
- A Thalasso & SPA Center is situated directly at the seaside area.
- Seawater used for natural baths is under constant quality control and is permanently available.
- For additional treatments natural sea products like sea-mud and sea-algae with approved quality have to be used.
- Clean and allergen promoting fresh sea-air for outside- and terrain treatments require no close location to industry parks or factories with high pollution emissions.
- Climate-Exposition and physical- and movement therapy as well as all Terrain-Treatments have to be executed directly at the seaside area.
- A Thalasso & SPA Center offers additional and accompanying preventive health promoting offers especially in the following areas: feel-good relaxation, vitalizing activity and nutrition
- A certified Hotel or facility with a quality Thalasso & SPA Center offers an in its entirety noticeable health promoting concept within the hotel.
